Peace Boat and Webstival in Concert!




Peace Boat, which has been interacting with Venezuelan musicians since 2004, held a benefit concert on the eve of Valentine's Day, on February 13, 2022, with the aim of supporting the Webstival Music Foundation, raising almost 2,000 US$ for the development of free online music training activities carried out by this organization for children and young people from Venezuela and worldwide.


In this emotional virtual concert that was presented by Masumi Matsumura from Peace Boat, Mayu Fujii from Peace Boat, Andrés González from Webstival Music Foundation, Pedro D'Verde from the YZA International Orchestra and Chiquinquirá Durán from the YZA International Orchestra, they enjoyed the Brazilian Dance by Mozart Camargo Guarnieri, Leonard Bernstein's Mambo, Danzón no. 2 by Arturo Márquez and the Malambo by Alberto Ginastera, performed by the YZA International Orchestra, a ensemble created by the Webstival Music Foundation, as well as the Libertango by Astor Piazzolla and Ponte a Estudiar by Pedro D'Verde performed by El Violonchelo en Casa, also, there was a special presentation of Aires Tropicales by Paquito D'Rivera performed by Quinteto Sileno and Suite Onda Nueva by Aldemaro Romero performed by Maestros of Atlántico Música Sin Limites.


During the concert, images and a final piece performed by Francisco de Miranda Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Andrés González, together with a Japanese choir formed in 2016 on the 91st global voyage of the Peace Boat, were also shown, in which young members of the same orchestra participated. group who now make up the YZA International Orchestra.
